 L500S Series Adjustable Suspended Level Switch   Printer Friendly Version
The L500S is a low cost, single or multiple level switch designed for adjustable level monitoring or leak detection in storage tanks, sumps or wells. Vertically mounted and suspended by the electrical cable to the desired switch position inside the tank, the integral weight maintains the correct orientation and removes slack from the cable. A compression fitting secures the cable in place and forms a leak tight seal. The L500S is available in a wide range of materials, switch points and special configurations.

The sensor is suspended and secured into the tank at the desired switch level(s).Hermetically sealed reed switches are located in the switch stem at the desired measurement levels. The switches are actuated by magnets embedded in the floats as they rise and fall with the liquid level. The floats have a predetermined travel on the stem to ensure that the switches are held in the correct condition for its respective level.
